Leaders of youth organizations in Kyrgyzstan are beginning to work on the popularization of the 7^th Asian Winter Games in 2011, which will be held for the first time in Kazakhstan.

According to the Youth Committee of the People’s Party “Ak Zhol”, the youth rally is going to be held on the 20^th of February and will help to maintain warm and friendly relations among Russian, Kyrgyz and Kazakh youth. more

For four days representative delegation headed by Honor Life Vice-President Mr. Wei Jizhong  will be visiting sport venues of the 7^th Asian Winter Games, first in Astana, and then in Almaty. Beside that Coordination Committee members will discuss issues of accommodation, transportation, medical services and doping control of athletes and sport delegations, information technologies development, Games promotion and marketing, cultural program of Asiada, work with volunteers, broadcasting of the Games… General competition program consists of 11 sports, 70 events and 164 medal sets. more

Last Sunday Vice-minister of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Yermegiyayev reported about the course of preparation works for the 7^th Asian Winter Games on the 55^th Meeting of the Executive Board of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) in Vietnam. “Construction of sport venues and infrastructure development of host-cities is at special control”. more

Direction of the 7^th Winter Asian Games in Almaty organized a round table discussion on the development of volunteerism in anticipation of the Asian Winter Games. The event brought together leaders of youth and social research centers.
According to the head of the Almaty Directorate Sultanmahmut Shokbytov, a set of volunteers will continue until the end of 2009. After the recruitment each person will be interviewed. more

Reconstruction of the sports complex Medeu is going at the scheduled pace. By October of the next year to the reconstruction of the ice cover, stands and all related elements which run the rink will be completed. The etiquette of big sport is different: the organizers of the biggest international events, such as Olympic Games, officially invite IOC members to the regale of the four year period. Big and small countries get the same invitation, and then, having consulted with each other in order to enhance the effect, with gratitude inform the host-country about their participation in the Games. more
